Beasley performed in numerous productions in New York and California, including productions with the prestigious Joseph Papp Public Theatre, Brooklyn Academy of Music, La Jolla Playhouse, 59E59th Street, Faux Real Theatre Company, Synaesthetic Theatre Company, and numerous performances with the Classical Theatre of Harlem of which she was nominated for an Audelco Award for best Ensemble in the widely acclaimed revival of The Blacks. She joined the national tour of Chapmyn Spoken Word’s Womyn With Wings and has also made many TV and Film appearances including Criminal Minds, Law and Order, Bad Company, and Stompin’. She trained in classical text with the New York Shakespeare Festival and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the top ranked program at the University of California, San Diego.  Most recently she co-founded Shakespeare It UP! A teaching organization for inner city youth, as well as serving as an in house storyteller for Kuumba In Motion, a creative arts school serving the same population.
